while reading the magazines the other day it occurred to me that jws never really had a very good answer to that question.
because it was aimed at young people and it said something along the lines, "if you believe in god you have a purpose, but if you don't believe in god your life has no purpose or meaning".
i think that is a faulty analysis of the situation.
I know it's a joke to you but it's not a joke to me when you say those types of things toward God and Jesus Christ, the only reason we truly have to live.
God and Jesus are not the reason I have to live. Why can't Jesus people ever just let it be. We believe different things about where we came from and where we are going, and that's ok.

l know animals do it but their animals.they dont live by a moral code.the thought of 2 men going for it is not normal.what are your thoughts?.
Why does it matter? What I do in my bedroom is my business, what you do in yours is yours. Worry about yourself and let other people worry about themselves. I think the real problem comes from people trying to make everyone conform to THEIR beliefs.
i asked an old jw friend of mine why so many baptized individuals leave the jw religion.
"did it ever occur to you, old friend, that maybe they know something that you don't know and have valid reasons for leaving?
", i asked.. his response set me back for an answer.
It's just because they can't admit there might be something wrong with their religion. Simple as that.
now i know i am getting older or of the older generation.
i have had a very strange day with a lot of strange dealings with people with strange behavior today but this one incident was just over the top.
so i came out of a store in a busy shopping center.
Geez he had his underwear on, it's not like he was naked. If I saw this in a parking lot, I would not stare, would giggle a bit, and be on with the rest of my day.
yesterday i bumped into an old friend from my last workplace.
he's a gay man and we were good friends along with a woman from the same office.
although i was a jw at the time, i would go for the occasional after work drinks with them, blackpool funfair every year and the occasional cinema or theater.
That has been my experience as well. "Worldly" people are very understanding, forgiving, and less judgemental.
well, i messaged someone on e-harmony and she messaged me back.
i did like her at first and she likes me too.
we exchanged more than 10 messages till i find out yesterday that her best friend is a tarot card reader.
Is it because of the tarot card reading part? If so, everyone has their thing, maybe you can be open minded about it. Maybe her friend is a super cool, supportive friend. You aren't marrying this girl, just dating, broaden your horizons, 😀

Why does there have to be one true religion? All religion is manipulation, some are just worse than others.
less than 5 hours ago my great dad fell asleep the last time :( still in a bit of a shock and sad that i will not see him again...i promised myself that once he is here no more, i will somehow make my move out of this organisation who kept us all captive believing in a fantasy of an everlasting life :( i am in a tricky situation, since raised as jw, still in, married to an active jw, and pretty sure that all in my social and family circle will turn their backs on me if i finally say goodbye to a fairytail ;(.
I am sorry for your loss and the added stress this religion imposes. I hope you find peace throughout your journey.
i just wanted to thank this community for being there during my most difficult period of life.
even if it wasn't a direct interaction, i was reading, and i've taken away a lot over the past year plus.
on september 2 of last year the local congregation announced that my wife and i were no longer jehovah's witnesses because we chose to disassociate.
Congrats! It just keeps getting better. I have been out for more than 15 years and life is great. I love the freedom to believe as I wish, and change my mind if I find new evidence. 🍻 enjoy your freedom!
